The feature is currently being rolled out globally, including in the Netherlands. But what does this actually mean for you as a business owner? And how can you use it without losing control over your communication?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What exactly is Meta AI?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Meta AI is an <strong>integrated chatbot feature<\/strong> within WhatsApp. You can interact with it via a dedicated AI conversation or by using <strong><code>@Meta AI<\/code><\/strong> in a group chat. The assistant can answer questions, generate text, create summaries, or even produce images based on prompts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The technology runs on <strong>Meta\u2019s own Llama 3 language model<\/strong> and works fully in Dutch. You do not need to install an additional app or create a separate account. Use is free, provided you agree to Meta\u2019s AI terms and conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Important to know: Meta AI is not a personal assistant. You have to actively address it, and conversations with the AI are <strong>not end-to-end encrypted<\/strong>. Meta may use the data to improve the model. Transparency about this is crucial, especially for businesses that handle customer information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does Meta AI work in WhatsApp?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If WhatsApp on your device is up to date and your region has access, a <strong>AI button will automatically appear in your chat overview<\/strong>. Tap it to start a conversation with the AI. In group chats, you can also interact by using <code><strong>@Meta AI<\/strong><\/code>, for example to ask a question or request a summary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The responses appear directly in the chat. This allows you to use smart support without any extra steps, much like consulting an employee, but digitally. For businesses, this opens up new possibilities for customer interaction, provided you apply them correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can you disable Meta AI?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Many users wonder whether the AI can be removed. The short answer: <strong>fully disabling it is not possible<\/strong>. Meta AI is integrated into WhatsApp by default, and the button remains visible even if you do not use it. However, you can remove the AI conversation from your chat list and enable <em>Advanced Chat Privacy<\/em> in individual or group chats. This prevents Meta AI from becoming active within those conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote style=\"border-left: 4px solid #d3d3d3; padding-left: 16px; margin: 1.5em 0; color: #021d49; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">\n  In the business version of WhatsApp (WhatsApp Business), the AI button is not yet visible on some devices. This can be a temporary solution if you prefer not to use it.
